- Concert data: Events you've attended, memories, photos, videos, setlists, and personal notes you create.

Information from Third-Party Services
- Social sign-in: If you sign in with Google, Spotify, Apple, or Facebook, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from that provider.
- Spotify: If you connect Spotify, we access your followed artists and recently played tracks to personalize your experience. We do not access your payment information or play music on your behalf.
- Concert data providers: We source event information from Ticketmaster, Setlist.fm, and other public sources to populate our database.
Information Collected Automatically
- Usage data: Pages visited, features used, timestamps, and interaction patterns.
- Device information: Browser type, operating system, screen resolution, and device identifiers.
- Location: Approximate location based on IP address, or precise location if you grant permission (used for nearby event discovery).
- Cookies: We use essential cookies for authentication and optional analytics cookies with your consent.

4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Microsoft Azure servers in the United States. We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage, and secure authentication (bcrypt password hashing, JWT tokens). However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
5. Your Rights and Choices
- Access and update: You can view and update your profile information at any time from your Profile page.
- Delete your account: You can request account deletion by contacting us at hello@fanmap.fm. We will delete your account and associated data within 30 days.
- Export your data: You can request a copy of your data by contacting us.
- Opt out of marketing emails: Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or update your notification preferences in settings.
- Disconnect third-party services: You can disconnect Spotify and other linked services from your Profile settings at any time.
- Location permissions: You can revoke location access through your browser settings.
6. Children's Privacy
FanMap is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
7. Third-Party Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites (ticket sellers, artist pages, venues). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
